Chickpea, almond & date protein balls


These protein balls are my go to for a quick snack at work or pre/post the gym.
You can pop them in a small Tupperwear for whenever you need them!
This recipe makes 10 balls. (I tend to vary the sizes so I can pick one according to how hungry I am!)
🔹150g drained & rinsed chickpeas
🔹70 g almonds
🔹2 teaspoons cinnamon
🔹20g chia seeds
🔹6 dried dates (destoned)
🔹50g vanilla protein powder – any will do, I used @myprotein natural vanilla impact whey protein.
🔸Pop all the ingredients into a food processor.
🔸Whizz until all the ingredients have blended together into a sticky ball
🔸Take approx a tablespoon’s worth of mixture and roll it into a ball.
🔸Place the ball onto a baking tray lined with grease-proof paper.
🔸Repeat the 2 steps above until all the mixture is used.
🔸Pop the balls in the fridge for 1-2 hours to set.
🔸Transfer into a tin or Tupperwear and store the balls in the fridge until they’re all gone…. I’ve left them 4 days and they’ve been fine, they’ve never lasted longer than that! 😋.
